Shoulder Surgery

The shoulder is one of the body's largest and most flexible joints, making it more prone to damage. Heavy lifting, sports and other activities can lead to conditions that impact the mobility and functioning of the shoulder.

Dr Seevasgath provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for shoulder conditions and offers minimally invasive techniques where possible to improve postoperative recovery and scarring.

Arthroscopic Acromioplasty

Normal shoulder movement occurs at the shoulder joint and the shoulder blade rotating on the back. If your tendons are injured or torn, they may swell and cause pain. When you have a problem with your shoulder, it hurts to make basic movements. Arthroscopic acromioplasty is a surgical procedure that smoothes out the acromion bone in the shoulder and relieves these ailments.

Arthroscopic Bankart Repair

A Bankart lesion occurs when the labrum of the shoulder joint gets torn. You will quickly notice it because it causes shoulder instability and pain, which is prevalent with shoulder dislocations. Arthroscopic Bankart repair is a surgical procedure used to restore a detached labrum, the cartilage attached to the glenoid bone.

Rotator Cuff Repair

Tears to the rotator cuff often require a surgical procedure to re-attach the tendon to the head of the humerus bone in the shoulder. However, a partial tear may only require debridement, a smoothing procedure that restores function to the rotator cuff.

Distal Biceps Tendon Repair

Like any other body part, tendons can get injured and must be repaired. Distal biceps tendon repair uses the BicepsButton™ and tension-slide technique to restore the biceps tendon through a single anterior incision. The Distal Biceps Tendon Repair is a minimally invasive yet effective method.
